The Antinori family has been making wine for over six hundred years, and are considered as the undisputed leaders in Italy. 

 

Marchesi Antinori has always been identified with the regions of Tuscany and Umbria, with vineyards planted in the most highly suited areas for high quality wine production namely Chianti Classico, Bolgheri, Montalcino, Orvieto , Montepulciano – all famous zones in Italy .

  

Over the years the Antinori family’s interest in the wine world and their desire to discover and compare new, different varieties and terroirs has brought them in contact with other winegrowing areas in Italy and outside, including Meridiana in Malta, as well as the US, Chile, Hungary and Rumania.

Tasting Notes: A straw yellow in color, the intensely fruity and floral aromas of green apples, pears, and white flowers. Balanced, soft, and fresh in flavor, its finish and aftertaste recall the fruity sensations first felt on the nose.

Tasting Notes: A light straw yellow in color, the wine shows intense and floral aromas reminiscent of lilac and jasmine. Soft on the palate, it is light and easy drinking as well.

Tasting Notes : Capsula Viola is a light straw yellow wine with greenish highlights. The wine’s aromas recall orange flowers, citrus fruit, and white peaches. On the palate it is soft and tasty with a light and savory acidity and a fruity finish and aftertaste.

Grape Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah

 

Tasting Notes: A brilliant pink color, the wine shows intense and rich aromas, less redolent of the typical pepper and bell pepper notes of Cabernet than usual and more expressive of flowers and fruit, particularly cherries and raspberries. On the palate it is fresh, balanced, fruity, and long on the finish and aftertaste.

Tasting Notes: A very intense ruby red  color. On the nose  captivating notes of ripe fruit (blackberries, plums, and wild cherries).  On the palate the wine is well structured, with supple tannins which are both sweet and rounded; the lengthy finish promises long life and the aftertaste recalls notes of ripe fruit and licorice.

Tasting Notes: With a vivid and intense red color, this wine demonstrates all of its complexity right from its introduction to the olfactory senses, with intense aromas of ripe fruit which combine well with the vanilla which is derived from its contact with wood. On the palate it opens with a very smooth and enveloping introduction, with soft tannins which only make their presence known at the end, leaving a beautiful minerality and persistence in the mouth.

Tasting Notes: A wine of important impact, an intense ruby red color.The aromas are complex with notes of red fruit, raspberries, blueberries, and ripe cherries and a spicy, liquorice-laden finish. On the palate it is ripe and sweet, endowed with an important structure of sweet and developing tannins  velvetyin texture. It is an exceptional expression of the Sangiovese grape in this part of the Chianti Classico appellation.

The flavors are powerful and decisive, supple and silky in their initial impact and with an  excellent balance between tannins and acidity which add to the freshness and length on the flow.

Grape Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot

 

Tasting Notes: On the nose the initial balsamic sensations are followed by aromas of ripe fruit and spices, on the palate is velvety, with soft tannins and much finesse. The finish and aftertaste are well supported by savory mineral notes and much length and persistence.

Grape Variety: Sangiovese and a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc

 

Tasting Notes:   A very intense ruby red color with purple highlights, the wine is immediately and suavely convincing in its aromas and harmonious in its expression of the characteristics of Chianti Classico as an area. On the nose licorice,  cherries with notes of vanilla, chocolate, and sweet toasty oak. On the palate, fresh and savory flavors with a persistent finish and aftertaste.

Grape Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon and a small percentage of Sangiovese and Cabernet Franc

 

Tasting Notes: Solaia shows a ruby red color. On the palate the wine is smooth which is the result of perfectly ripe grapes along with sensations of coffee, chocolate, mint, and licorice. The wine impresses for its finesse and structure, and is characterized by great elegance and aging potential, with its soft and velvety tannins.
